N.C.T.C. is proud of all of the programs available for JUNIOR TENNIS players at our club. Below please find specific

 information for our Junior Players.


Junior Development Report 2017 Highlights

NCTC had 4 teams in the 2017 Tennis Rocks Festival, the junior club doubles championships,

June 3 at the Aviva Centre. There were 52 teams with more than 250 junior players, in 3 events - Girls, Boys and U12/U10.

Newmarket1 won the overall Boys Championship.

Newmarket2 won the gold medal in the Boys Tier 2 championship.

Newmarket Girls won bronze in the Tier 1 Girls Championship.

Newmarket won silver in the U12/U10 Championship.


Junior Intercounty Tennis Association (ICTA)

NCTC had 3 teams in the ICTA junior leagues in 2017. All teams did very well, with results as follows:

Boys Majors – 2nd in League, 2 points behind 1st

Boys A – 2nd in Division

Future Stars (U12/U10) – 3rd in Division


Junior Achievement

The annual Junior Achievement awards, presented to the boy and girl who best represent the attributes of achievement. Improvement, participation and sportsmanship, are awarded in 2017 to Dallas Ramsay and  Nicole Clarke. Honorable mentions were given to Victor Fadeev and Annalia Fraser.

Sunday Afternoon Junior Priority Court Time

Sunday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm are priority court time for junior players.                                                                                          


Junior InterCounty Team Practices


 Junior Boys: Play Saturday 10:00 a.m. and practice Friday 4-6 p.m.

 Junior Girls : Play Saturday 10:00 a.m. and practice Friday 4-6 p.m.  *

 Junior Mixed: Play Sunday 1:30 p.m. and practice Friday 4-6 p.m.

 *Subject to having a Junior Girls team
